Prior to working at UMTC, Emma Burgess was a secondary Visual Communications and English teacher for 4 years on the West Coast, focusing on graphic design, photography, journalism, and videography. How did that lead to transportation? She enjoyed that the Project Coordinator incorporates visual communications, creating course aids, and coordinating training and events, which was similar to her former career role. Emma has a BA in English and MA in Secondary Teaching from Washington State University, along with a Career & Technical Education - Visual Communications & Publishing certification from Eastern Washington University.
