Overview
Course Description:
This program reviews the general considerations for planning and installing temporary traffic control. Additionally, the program addresses potential hazards created by the presence of the work zone and measures to mitigate those hazards. Participants will discuss the needs and methods for inspecting and maintaining temporary traffic control.
Target Audience:
Anyone involved with, or spends time in or around, a work zone will benefit from this class.

- Peter Cusolito
Director at Town of Leicester
Peter Cusolito is a safety and emergency planning consultant with over 40 years of experience in strategic planning, training management, and in applying safety emergency preparedness planning principles in a variety of environments. A former senior military officer, he served as a representative to the public for the coordination of public safety planning for several large-scale, high-risk events throughout the country.
For the past 15 years, Peter has been working with private and public sector clients from the local to national level to improve work zone safety awareness and practices. He has led the development, implementation, and sustainment of public and private sector programs to ensure employee safety and regulatory compliance. Peter has helped clients establish policies and practices that facilitate hazard analysis, identify appropriate mitigation measures, and maintain a process of continuous evaluation. To aid in program implementation, he has developed specific tools to support the completion of safety assessments and the publication of site-specific health and safety plans.
Peter teaches a variety of health and safety topics and is an authorized trainer for the OSHA-10 and 30-hour programs in both Construction and General Industry.
