Overview
Course Description:
The EPA has identified Stormwater as an important regulation to improve water quality and the environment. Stormwater regulation and implementation are important to be familiar with the communities you work in and live in. This class will provide a basis for understanding water quality and stormwater regulations. This class will discuss Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and inspection requirements. Workshop materials will provide guidance of design and installation of erosion and sediment controls (E&SC). There will also be a demonstration of water quality sampling using a Turbidity Meter in the field per EPA guidance. The workshop will provide opportunities to review field installation of BMP for Stormwater in the field (conditions and weather allowing). The instructor will provide common E&SC issues and lead discussion for solutions.
Target Audience:
Municipal officials, field workers, project managers, and anyone responsible for the implementation of stormwater regulation and sediment control.
