Survey Findings: CMV Driver Beliefs & Behaviors Survey
In order to create a functional safety culture within the commercial vehicle industry, it’s essential to not only understand what drivers believe about regulations and risky behaviors, but also how these beliefs translate into behaviors. UMassSafe, with support from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, recently conducted a survey of Eastern Service Center truck drivers to better understand topics surrounding alcohol consumption, cannabis consumption, texting while driving, and exceeding Hours of Service. In this hour-long webinar, UMassSafe presented on these findings and discussed potential use by industry and trucking associations, regulators, law enforcement, and other commercial vehicle safety stakeholders.
