The 2016 Commercial Vehicle Safety Research Summit: Best Practices for Advancing Safety through Partnerships with Universities
The 2016 Commercial Vehicle Safety Research Summit: Best Practices for Advancing Safety through Partnerships with Universities (referred to hereafter as CV Summit) was held to promote partnerships between universities, law enforcement, and drivers licensing agencies. Along with a variety of agencies and organizations, the CV Summit drew more than 130 attendees representing all 16 ESC states who came together to share best practices across disciplines, compare successes and challenges, and plan next steps to promote and expand partnerships. In doing so, participants were encouraged to expand their comprehension of emerging trends and issues by looking at them through different frameworks of understanding.
The presentations and materials from the summit are available online at the Commercial Vehicle-Safety Technical Assistance Center
