2019 Commercial Vehicle Safety Summit - Best Practices for Industry & Law Enforcement Partnerships

In November 2019, UMassSafe will be hosting a summit for the FMCSA Eastern Service Center (ESC) to assist the CMV industry in pursuing a strong culture of safety while still maintaining their economic focus. The Summit, entitled “Promoting Safety, Compliance, and Business: Advancing Best Practices for Improved Safety through Partnerships between Law Enforcement and the Trucking Business Industry,” will accomplish the following:

• Promote partnerships between law enforcement, State Driver Licensing Agencies (SDLAs), and the trucking industry.
• Advocate for a culture of safety that works in tandem with business, government, and law enforcement.
• Promote sharing of best practices across disciplines, in order to improve compliance with CMV regulations.
