Webinar Series: Enhanced Safety Screening for High-Risk Motor Carriers
On Wednesday February 27th, we hosted the latest webinar in our Innovative Initiatives – CDL Compliance & Safety series. Jennifer Walton of the University of Kentucky’s Kentucky Transportation Center gave a fascinating presentation on how they’ve incorporated FMCSA’s BASIC scores into screening systems so that carriers with potential safety problems are more easily identified for inspection. This roadside screening system provides enforcement with real-time data on motor carriers and vehicles prior to reaching a facility or remote monitoring location.
